【纯干货】口语中黄金小词get的用法!

      在英语口语中有很多不可或缺的黄金小词,小词的使用既可以简单明了的表达自己的意思,还可以在雅思口语的评分标准中锦上添花,高分梦,从小词做起。

常见的小词有好多,如come (On what page does it come? 他在哪一页?),go(There are 6 minutes to go.还有6分钟的时间),

take (Be careful not to take cold. 小心别感冒),

make ( make yourself comfortable  请随意),

put( I put a question to him, 我向他提出了个问题),

seem ( I cannot seem to solve it right now.看来我没办法立即解决他);

以及get

get的用法是比较多而且很灵活的,接下来我们就重点说一下get在口中的热门的5种用法。

1.Get along with

▪    to go away; leave:

We must get along now; see you soon.

▪    tosurvive or continue to go on: [~ + along (+ with/without ) ]

I can't get along without her.

▪    tobe on good terms; agree:[~ + along (+ with ) ]
He couldn't get along with his in-laws.

2. Get down

▪  to bring orcome down; [~ + object + down]
(cause to) descend: [no object]

The plane got down to about 500 feet.

▪  to concentrate; attend[no object]

Get down to work.

▪  cause to be depressed:[~ + object + down]

This cloudy weather gets me down.

▪  to swallow:[~ + object + down]

couldn't get any food down.

3.Get over

▪  to recover from:

to get over an illness.

To get over a bad break up.

▪  to get across:[~ + object + over]

I need to getmy points over more convincingly.

▪  to overcome:I[~ + over + object]

got over that problem.

4.Get through

▪    tofinish:

I hope I can get through all this work.

▪    toreach someone, as by telephone: [no object]
I tried calling you, but I couldn't get through.

▪    tomake oneself clearly understood: [~ (+ to + object)]
Am I getting through (to you)?

▪    toendure or survive: [~ + object]
They managed to get through the worst of the winter.

5.Get off someone’s back /case(=stop nagging orcriticizing someone)

停止对某人的唠叨、攻击

I was willing to do almost anything to get her off myback.
